Description
The KR3 Northern Maple C243 is a high-quality wood baseball bat crafted from carefully selected Northern Hard Maple and designed with demanding players, including Independent Pro and Collegiate athletes, in mind.
KR3 uses hand-split Northern American hard maple billets selected for quality and straight grain. The wood is vacuum dried and turned at low speeds to preserve the hardness and performance characteristics expected from premium maple bats.
C243 profile – built for power hitters
The C243 is a classic power-hitting profile designed for players who prefer a large barrel and more mass toward the hitting end of the bat.
It features a large barrel, relatively thin handle and standard knob. The resulting top-heavy / end-loaded feel makes the C243 particularly well suited to power hitters looking to put more mass behind the ball at contact.
Based on feedback from Independent Pro and Collegiate equipment managers, KR3 has slightly increased the handle thickness compared with a traditional C243 profile. This modification is designed to improve durability while retaining the characteristic C243 feel.
Double Bone Rubbed for increased hardness
Each bat undergoes KR3's Double Bone Rub process to further compress and harden the hitting surface. According to KR3, this process makes the hitting surface approximately 7–10% harder, helping maximize the performance characteristics of the maple.
The bats are also hand sanded for a refined finish and balance.
A cupped barrel end helps bring the bat to approximately Drop -2 to -3, delivering the substantial wood-bat feel preferred by experienced hitters.
